breakfast

a journey

for the senses

At Okaeri, breakfast is more than a meal- it’s a morning ritual that provides the nourishing energy for a day of discovering all that the Napa Valley has to offer. Chef Josh Garcia’s menu is an ever-changing, multi-course showcase highlighting fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients. Guests can expect elevated western favorites such as 24-hour sous vide bacon and grits, duck confit hash, and house-smoked salmon with potatoes pavé. Our Japanese-inspired breakfast is an uplifting and energizing treat for the senses, with miso-marinated fish, house-pickled vegetables, and soul-warming miso soup.

wine

kanpai- japanese for "cheers"

Before our family opened the doors of Okaeri, we started Kanpai Wines out of our home and vineyard, Meadowbrook Farm. Each evening, we invite you to join us for a pour of Kanpai Wines paired with a small bite prepared by chef Garcia. Together with six-time James Beard Award nominated winemaker Steve Matthiasson, we produce small batches of terroir-driven wines made to be paired with your favorite meals. Steve’s elegant, classically-balanced wines pay homage to vineyard and varietal, a testament to his belief that great wine is made in the vineyard.

All guests at Okaeri receive 15% off purchases of our wines. Club members receive 20% off their stays at Okaeri, as well as access to exclusive events. To arrange a private tasting of our wines, please contact us at welcome@okaericalistoga.com.

calistoga

small town charm

world class hospitality

As you head north through fields of vines and mustard flowers, Napa Valley becomes quiet and calm. A leisurely stroll down Lincoln Avenue reveals tasting rooms, restaurants, spas, and boutiques set against a backdrop of towering volcanic mountains and lush forests. Whether you want to relax in a soothing mineral bath, bike through the vineyards, or enjoy live music and a picnic in the park, the possibilities are endless here. Calistoga may feel like Napa Valley’s undiscovered gem, but it’s no secret why travelers have been coming to our town since long before the first vines were planted.
Our family first came to Calistoga over a decade ago for a family wedding, and we were immediately enraptured. The tranquility, hospitality, and dedication to craft and artisanship brought to mind precious memories of our travels to hot springs towns in rural Japan. We found an 1875 Victorian house for sale, and a dream was born. Over seven years, we worked to lovingly restore and update this house to create a small piece of Japan in Napa Valley.

we look forward to welcoming you to okaeri
